OUR STORY

A wildflower will not hurry to grow but shows patience, flourishing at the right moment.

In 2015 I embarked on a journey at Academy Music and Performing Arts. Living down the coast  I normally travel by train. One day I noticed a single wild rose growing through the train station wall, every week the rose blossomed becoming more vibrant and stronger, weeks turn into months and the single wild rose turned into a cluster of wild roses. It felt that during that time of noticing the wild rose I too was flourishing in my education of dance. It was the final year and I was coming to the end of the chapter, one day I caught the train and to my surprise the wild roses were gone, I was devastated as something so pure could be destroyed. Time passed, something caught my eye - it was a single wild rose glistening in the sun as though to say this is my home. It was then I decided to reestablish my dance school and  to call it 'Wildflower Dance'.

All children and adolescents are vibrant, young and free and just like a wildflower. Wildflower Dance aims to sustain this beautiful quality by nurturing all students every step of the way. We understand at Wildflower Dance that all students blossom at different stages, and it is our job to sustain a healthy learning environment to enable this. Wildflower Dance authentically teaches a variety of styles so that your child can have a fulfilling experience.
